Skills Obtained:
The Metal Machinist is a recognised trade qualification and prepares the person to work effectively in various industries making use of metal engineering machining skills and meet the challenges of such an environment. The primary focus of this qualification is the develop the ability to prepare for, set up and operate a range of engineering machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications. Hand skills play a large role in this qualification.
