It is advisable that all learners have their own toolboxes so as to familiarise yourself with your own tools.  Toolboxes can also be purchased from ATI.  Please enquire about our competitive pricing.

Yes you must have entered into an Learnership or Apprenticeship agreement with an employer who has workplace accreditation.

We manage donor funded programmes on behalf of Corporate customers.  Intakes are at differing time throughout the year and places are limited. However, we can include you on the waiting list or alternatively we can put you into touch with an educational loan provider.  Please contact our Marketing department; details of which is on our website under Contact Us.

It will take you approximately 10-12 weeks to complete your N2.

As mentioned, our training is modular based and dependent on the individuals own performance and the number of training weeks required per Trade.  We charge on a weekly basis and invoice at the end of the training month, with payment due 30 days after the invoice date. Mondays to Thursdays we start training at 07h00 and finish off 16h00. On Fridays we finish off at 12h30.

We provide artisan and related training in the following disciplines: Electrical, Fitting and Turning, Millwright, Boilermaking, Plating, Welding, Diesel-, Petrol-, Tractor, Forklift, Earthmoving, Mechanic, Auto Electrician, Measurement Control & Instrumentation, Rigging. Our training is mudular based and dependend on the individuals own performance.  The minimum number of weeks is 12 weeks for Phase I (year 1) followed by 12 weeks in Phase II (year 2) and  final revision during Phase III (year 3) which is 8 weeks.  Each trade has a legislated numer of hours as a requirement.  Please contact our Marketing department; details of which is on our website under Contact Us.

You will need to obtain an N2 qualification.  If you have passed grade 12 with a science and maths pass rate of more than 40%,  you will only need to write and pass 2 of the 4 subjects (Engineering Drawing and Trade Theory) to obtain your N2 qualification.  If you have not passed the grade 12 science and maths exam, then you would need to enrol for all 4 subjects (Maths, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing and Trade Theory) to obtain your N2 qualification.

Learnerships are generally 1 year qualifications whilst Apprenticeships level 2/3 and 4 can take up to 3 years.

Any FET college provides open learning and distance learning.
